Managing assets
Ensure that each asset has a unique alphabetical code. If a code already exists in the CRM or Internal asset systems, you cannot use it again for a new asset.
Add a new internal asset via the Web UI
This option is suitable if you need to add one asset or a small number of assets. To add multiple assets in bulk, refer to the option to create assets by uploading a CSV file below.
To add an asset:
Go to Settings > Assets.
Click Add internal assets.
In the Alphabetical code field, enter an alphabetical code of an asset, for example: btc. This must be a unique value.
The maximum length is 15 characters. All numeric and Latin characters in the lower case are supported. Mind that this value can't be changed after creation.
In the Caption field, enter an asset name, for example: Bitcoin.
The maximum length is 30 characters. All Latin and numeric characters, as well as spaces are supported.
From the Type dropdown, select an asset category, such as Fiat, Crypto, Metals, and so on.
In the Precision field, enter the asset price precision, which is the number of digits after a decimal separator.
For example, 2 means the following price format: 0.01, and 8: 0.00000001.
Supports only integer values in the range from 0 (zero) to 18, defaults to 0 (zero).
Click Create.
Edit an internal asset via the Web UI
To edit an asset:
Go to Settings > Assets.
Select an internal asset that you want to change and click the pencil icon.
In the popup, edit required values. You can change Caption, Type, and Precision values.
Click Save to apply changes.
Add or update assets by uploading a CSV file
You can add multiple assets at once or bulk update parameters of the assets by uploading a CSV file.
For detailed field requirements, refer to the Add a new internal asset via the Web UI section above.
To upload a CSV file:
Go to Settings > Assets.
Click Upload CSV.
Drag and drop the file into the upload area or click Browse to select the file from your computer. The maximum allowed file size is 50 MB.
Click Upload.
Once the file is processed, the assets will be added/updated and displayed in the asset list.
If any required parameter is missing in a row, the row is skipped and the related asset data isn’t uploaded. If the uploaded file contains errors, a warning is displayed and the data isn’t uploaded.
Download a CSV file
This option can be useful if you have already configured internal assets on the BP and you need to bulk update them or add new assets to existing ones.
You can download a CSV file with internal asset configurations, edit them, and then upload to the system, as described in the Add or update assets by uploading a CSV file section above.
To download a CSV file, go to Settings > Assets, and then click the Download CSV button above the market list.
The file will be downloaded to your computer.
