Managing leverage profiles
Add a new leverage profile
To create a new leverage profile:
Go to Settings > Leverage profiles.
Click the Add profile button above the table.
In the Name field, enter a name for the new profile.
Select the Leverage system:
Fixed: To apply a single, uniform leverage value to all position sizes.
Dynamic: To implement tiered margining where different leverage limits apply based on the position's notional value, in RAT.
Enable the Allow traders to use only Max. leverage toggle, to allow traders to trade only with the maximum leverage. Or leave it disabled, to allow traders to choose the leverage when placing orders.
For Fixed leverage system:
In the Max. leverage field, enter the maximum allowed leverage that can be used for trading. Supports only integer values in the range from 1 to 10,000.
For Dynamic leverage system:
Fill out the table with tier parameters:
Minimum tiers: 2
Maximum tiers: 10
Min. notional value: Automatically pre-filled with the previous tier's Max. notional value, non-editable
Max. notional value: Required field, only integer values are supported, defaults to Unlimited
Max. leverage: Must be less than or equal to the previous tier's leverage (descending order)
Ensure all tier values follow a descending leverage pattern and notional value ranges don't overlap incorrectly.
See the example of a filled tier table below:

Click Create to add the configured leverage level.
Change a leverage profile
Changing leverage parameters in profiles that are actively applied to markets will immediately affect existing client positions. Used margin will be recalculated based on new values, which may result in sudden margin calls or liquidations.
Go to Settings > Leverage profiles.
Select a profile that you want to change and click the pencil icon to open the settings.
Modify the profile settings:
Edit any available parameters based on the leverage system type.
Validate changes. For Dynamic leverage system, ensure leverage values follow descending pattern and notional ranges are logical and non-overlapping. Check that all required fields are filled.
Click Save.
In the confirmation popup, confirm the changes to apply them.
📍Mind that changes apply immediately and affect all existing positions on markets using this profile. Margin recalculations happen immediately and may trigger margin calls or liquidations.
Delete a leverage profile
Go to Settings > Leverage profiles.
Select a profile that you want to delete, make sure the Markets column displays 0, and click the bin icon.
📍Mind that you can't delete the default profile and profiles currently applied to markets: click the value in the Markets column to view a list of market currently using this leverage profile. You can reassign leverage profiles in the market settings.
In the confirmation popup, confirm the deletion.
Best practices
Profile naming: Use descriptive names that indicate the profile's purpose (for example, "Conservative Forex", "Crypto High Volume").
Tier planning: Design tiers based on your risk tolerance and client segmentation strategy.
Regular review: Monitor profile performance and adjust based on market conditions.
Client communication: Notify clients before making significant changes to leverage profiles.
Time management: Consider market hours and volatility when making changes.
