Leverage profiles
On this page, you can view, create, edit, and delete leverage profiles that define how margin requirements are calculated for different markets. Leverage profiles allow you to implement either fixed leverage for all position sizes or dynamic tiered leverage that adjusts based on the notional position value.

By default, the BP provides the Initial profile with the Fixed leverage system and the Max. leverage set to 1. This profile can be edited, assigned to markets, or deleted as needed.
For dynamic leverage profiles, the system supports:
Minimum tiers: 2
Maximum tiers: 10
Tier structure: Each tier defines a notional value range and corresponding maximum leverage.
Descending leverage: Higher tiers (larger positions) must have equal or lower leverage than previous tiers.
General information
The following information is provided about each profile:
Name
The leverage profile name.
Leverage system
The method used to calculate leverage for positions:
Fixed: To apply a single, uniform leverage value to all position sizes. This is the traditional approach where all trades use the same maximum leverage regardless of position value.
Dynamic: To implement tiered margining where different leverage limits apply based on the position's notional value, in RAT. As position sizes increase, leverage limits typically decrease to manage risk more effectively.
Max. leverage
Applicable only if the Leverage system is Fixed.
The maximum allowed leverage that can be used for trading.
For dynamic leverage profiles, this column displays "–" since the leverage varies by tier.
Use only Max. leverage
Determines if traders can choose the leverage value when placing orders.
Possible values:
✔ — Traders can only trade with the maximum leverage value specified in the profile. No leverage selection is available in the Trading terminal.
✘ — Traders can select any leverage value between 1 and the maximum leverage when placing orders, providing flexibility in risk management.

Actions
Available actions for managing leverage profiles:
pencil icon: Opens the profile editor where you can modify leverage parameters, tier structures, and settings. When editing profiles that are actively used in markets, the system will warn about potential impacts on existing positions.
bin icon: Removes the profile from the system. This action is only available for profiles not currently assigned to any markets. For profiles in use, this icon appears grayed out and disabled to prevent accidental deletion of active configurations.
